Movie and Dinner Out!!

Nancy and Ken dropped me off at the Galaxy movie theatre in Monroe to meet up with my friend Amy to watch a movie. Amy picked the movie. Just saying, I am going to pick the movie next time. Lol. Following the movie, we went out for dinner. I had great food and great company. Amy is an amazing woman and a wonderful friend. Amy, thank you for a fantastic day.  I send my love.

 

 

TIMBER!

28 Sept 12 - Couldn't sleep Thursday night, but finally turned off the music at 2:00 am. Alarm woke me up at 7:30 am Friday, so got up and turned it off. Went back to bed. Woke up for the second time about 10:00 am. Went in and had breakfast with Ken. Then we got busy and went outside to prepare for the tree falling. We climbed into the truck and drove to Ken and Nancy's church.. Literally right next to the church. I should have put a target on the ground for Ken to aim for, because he fell the 40-50 foot tree perfectly. Ken sawed off the branches and then cut the trunk to hauling length. And we put the larger limbs into a pile which Ken and his friend with a trailer will pick up later. We filled up the truck with the small limbs and cut up trunk. He drove back to the house and cup and axed everything to fire size. I piled the branches into their piles and helped stack the split up wood. All in all a good two hours.  Great job Loke!!!

What's for dinner?

26 Sept 12 - I was put in charge of dinner to tonight. So shopping we go. I love to go shopping, I do remember that! So Ken and I go off to see what kind of damage we can do. I DO like steak, so we decided on NY steak dinner. Ken BBQ'd the steaks and I made salad, beans, and baked potatos. I did learn a valuable lesson. When you have decided to microwave the potatoes, be sure they are all the same size. It was very interesting that the three different sizes took between 10-18 minutes to cook. But all in all, everything came out ok.

25 Sept 12. Went golfing with friend Bob Merkle at Snohomish. Had a great time. Then we stopped at Starbucks on the way back! Does it get better than that?  Yeah!!

Chineese buffet dinner - yumm!

20 Sept:  Got up early and went for an hour walk.  Half hour each way.  The big thing was, I found my way back.  Hehe.  Then went to my appt. with Jennifer at GHC.  And then on to dinner with Nancy, Ken and the Tran family at Chineese buffet in Bellevue.  Delicious. 

Return from Mesa, AZ

17 Sept:  Returned from Mesa.  I had no issues with the travel, so that was a good thing.  Thank you Becca for a great trip.  And thank you for your patience.  Love you, dad

Travel to visit the Mesa, AZ house remodel project

15 Sept:  Depart with Becca for a flight to Mesa, AZ.  Stayed in cousin Kathryn’s house.  Thanks cousin.  Met up with Steve, the remodel guy, and went over progress.  Most of the tile is in and the windows are installed, but still a lot to go.  We decided on a new completion date of 1 Nov.  So that is my goal to be ready to live on my own by then.  I will have three bedrooms with three beds, so come on down.  Not much other furniture, but I will have a nice new refrigerator!  Lol.  Thanks Brandon.

7 Sept:  The German family extraordinaire left to return home.  The are the most amazing family ever.  It was wonderful seeing everyone again.  I am truly blessed to have you all part of my life.  I will see you on the trail next time.             God bless.

September Update

Ok, Jeffifer, I am trying to be a good boy and keep my blog going, so take a look:

September:  Have been continuing my sessions with Jennifer, the GHC memory therapist.  She is working hard at getting me to use my journal.  I am trying to get better, but writing is not my gift.  Lol.  This month is my son Heath’s training for his new job.  Wow.  Sounds like this is your dream job.  I know you will do great.  I am so thrilled for you.  Love you.

Golf at Echo Falls course

9-4  My sister, bless her heart wakes up at 0600 hours to take me to meet up with Phil Smith to go golfing .  We met at Les Scwab in Renton.  We golfed on the Echo Falls golf course.  It was great fun, except for the time I took a fall on a side hill and landed hard on my right lower hip.  Ouch. 

Checking out of Evergreen Adult Care Facility

8-31  Checked out of Evergreen Adult Care and moved in with Nancy and Ken.  The people at Evergreen were amazing, almost like family.  They took such good care of me and I truly appreciate their kindness.  God bless you all.  Special thank you to Vio, Mary and Vasile!
